Reflective Journal

Creating this digital story was a rewarding yet challenging experience. The process began with brainstorming ideas, followed by scripting, gathering media, and editing. One major challenge was selecting the right visuals to match the narrative, which I overcame by experimenting with different tools like AI-generated images. Collaboration was minimal, but I divided tasks into clear stages to stay organized.

Initially, I felt excited but anxious about the technical aspects. A turning point came during editing when I saw the story come together, sparking pride. Compared to traditional writing, digital storytelling felt more dynamic, especially when visualizing scenes. I enjoyed scripting dialogue the most, as it brought characters to life.

This project improved my multimodal literacy and AI tool proficiency. I learned to integrate text, images, and sound effectively—a skill I'll apply in future projects. At the start, my confidence was low due to limited experience, but mastering editing tools and receiving positive feedback boosted my self-efficacy. Proud moments included finalizing the soundtrack and refining transitions, which reinforced my belief in my creative abilities.
