一、spend 当花费时间讲的话：
1.spend some time on sth
They spend an hour on their homework.

2.spend some time (in) doing sth （in可以省略的）
They spent three month touring Europe.

二、spend当花费金钱讲的话
1.spend some money on sth
I spent $100 on the bike.

2.spend some money (in) doing sth （in可以省略的）
I spent $100 buying the bike.

总结：呵呵，其实当花费时间金钱来讲用法都一样，记住那两种固定搭配哦。但如果没有点明在什么上的花费，不用on 如：
spend all one's energies
竭尽全力
My cousin will spend the weekend with us.
我表兄要和我一起度周末。
