马上考试了，罗列一些基本概念

 

以下是一些涉及到的英文缩写：

 

LAMP:  stands for linux-apache-mysql-php(instead of php,perl and python are offten used)

WISA:  Windows-IIS-SQL Server-ASP.net

IETF:  Internet Engineering Task Force(internet protocol standards)

ICANN:  Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers(decides top-level domain names)

CIDR:  Classless Inter Domain Routing

NAT:  Network Address Translation

 

Before DNS,the name-to-IP address was done by downloading a single file(hosts.txt) from a central server with FTP.

 

Every node in the DNS domain tree can be identified by a unique Fully Qualified Domain Name(FQDN).The FQDN gives the position in the DNS tree.

 

NS:  Name server records

CNAME:  Hostname aliases

MX:  Mail Exchangers

HINFO:  Host Information

 

URI:  Uniform Resource Identifier (permits resources to reside anywhere on the Internet)

URL:  Uniform Resource Locator (shows the location of a copy of a resource)

URN:  Uniform Resource Name(is a unique name for a resource)
