I heard about salt as well. My mom emailed telling me to buy some and store as well. =D Irrational assumptions, but I told her the same thing getting as much stuff to store as you can, just in case. As if that is going to help if the radiation that reaches China is strong enough to do harm to human bodies.

I did something really stupid on Friday... I applied to Standard Chartered, after seeing the advertisement on my school's career centre, and failed the online numerical test... The test is supposed to be an okay level, just tight with time. But apparently I didn't take it seriously enough. I know that yingjiesheng.com has a lot of test banks for that, but just didn't both working on them. Now, I don't even have the face to tell my colleagues back in Shanghai that I even attempted to apply. And though my application for that position is half-hearted at best, the stupidity I feel in the "defeat" is sharp. Now I realize that if I don't make the effort of doing something, then doing that thing is an entire waste of time, and reinforces the sense of failure.

Today... T.T........AHHHHHHHHHHHHh.... I slacked off again today, and chose to read The Snowball again instead of doing my research assistant work. But the book is just sooo good. The story about Warren Buffett's life is just wayy too interesting. To him and his teacher, Ben Graham, life and career and making money are like an intellectual game. You get to enjoy the process. The book repeats the fact that Buffett reads this Investment Manual of 10,000 pages, and refers to them for his career. I wish I could do a lot of that and grow to be stronger as well. It is a much comfortable way to get better than networking and meeting people for the sake of looking for a job. And as I read the book, I feel like I'm escaping my reality and jumping into Buffett's reality. Things are so much more fun and without anxiety there.
