Day 3
Yes, Yujia, your understanding of Project Management is right, at least on the right direction. This position requires varied capability, such as professional knowledge about specific field, management ability which also includes communication skills, coordination skills, time management, and so forth. In my view, It will be a challenging position for you in this phase. But it is worth to have a try indeed. General speaking, in a normal career path, the first and basic position concerns more about concrete and operational skills, such as how to use a analysis tool/model; After you have built a solid fundament of these skills and knowledge, you will perform much more easily and understand much more deeply when you’re at a higher position -- Project Management here as we discuss.
Communication with others is a complicated and totally a practical skill which you can only learn and refine from lots of practices. And I believe you will do it better than most of others in the future because you have more compassion about surroundings and true heart to friends(by the way, this is one of the major reason I like to be friend with you, haha, kidding). These rare personalities are the bases of communication. And all the communication skills cannot function – or cannot attain to real mutual understanding and respect--without these bases.
Your newly learnt idiom ”洗耳倾听”’s right spelling is “洗耳恭听”, which represents a humble manner to the speaker. And I’m guessing maybe I could be your Chinese teacher if you like, oh no, Chinese consultant is a more proper title (haha, ^_^) . This consultant could introduce you some mysterious, lyrical, and vague uses of Chinese as most poets and literary intellectuals do.
This morning, I took music course for the second week at teacher’s home. He is very kind to me and instruct me very carefully. I would like to write and summarize what I have learnt today, but when I try to express them in English, these music terms and subtle expression methods of fingers’ moving stuff my thoughts up. 5555555
Today, my best friend Jarod sent me a web link(http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/03/04/AR2011030402138.html?wprss=rss_nation). And he commented in his email with these words ”There is no 'human rights', only your rights or my rights.” It’s a short but potent commentary. And I replied him as follows: ”This is all about POWER. And the real side of society is not like the righteous university. Realize it; understand it; make use of it; and then achieve a new morality for all human beings and our inner hearts.”
