Extended HK-Guangdong high-speed rail to facilitate passengers 延长粤港高速铁路以方便乘客

High-speed train service between Hong Kong and Guangdong province will be extended to four more cities starting on Wednesday, according to the operator, the Hong Kong MTR Corporation.
根据香港地铁公司（MTR）表示，香港和广东省之间的高速列车服务将会在周三开始扩展至另外4个城市。

The new service will cover the four cities of Jiangmen, Yangjiang, Maoming and Zhanjiang, with five new destinations in the western part of Guangdong province, according to an announcement issued recently by MTR.
根据MTR最近发布的公告，新服务将覆盖江门、阳江、茂名和湛江，这将成为广东省西部五个新的目的地。

The new service is scheduled to provide one pair of southbound and northbound trains each day. Passengers can proceed with the exit and entry customs clearance procedures after they arrive at the West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong, no matter which station they enter from.
新服务计划每天提供一对南行和北行的列车。不管是从哪个站出发的，乘客在达到香港西九龙站之后，都能办理出入境清关手续。

Additionally, train services between the West Kowloon Station and Guangzhou East Station in Guangzhou and Futian Station in Shenzhen will be increased starting on Wednesday.
此外，从周三开始，香港西九龙站，广州广州东站和深圳福田站之间的列车服务将会增加。

The number of daily train runs to Guangzhou East will increase to 20, and the departure time of the last southbound train will be extended from the current 6:45 pm to 8:18 pm from Guangzhou East, offering greater convenience to passengers traveling in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
每天前往广州东的班次会增加到20趟，然后广州东出发的南向末班列车出发时间，将会从目前的6:45pm延长至8:18pm，对在粤港澳大湾区旅游的乘客提供了更大的便利。

With a growing demand for cross-boundary travel, high-speed rail in Hong Kong set a record by serving nearly 2.5 million passengers during the August summer holiday period, according to MTR.
