Reflection

When creating my May Day and Dragon Boat Festival digital stories, I first brainstormed with classmates. We chatted about ideas like holiday memories. After that, I started scripting. At first, making the story flow was tough. Then, I gathered media, like phone pictures. Editing was hard too—arranging pictures and words well. When stuck, classmates and I solved problems together.
I used an AI - writing assistant. It replaced common words, like changing “went to” to “made a trip to” and “attracted” to “entranced”. It also rephrased sentences, such as turning “People read quietly in every corner” into “Every corner had people engrossed in reading”, making writing vivid and smooth.
At the start, I was excited (to share stories) but nervous (about doing well). I enjoyed talking with classmates and creating. Editing brought frustration, but getting a good scene made me proud. I prefer individual work for my pace, yet group brainstorming helped with ideas. Scripting dialogue was surprisingly fun.
I improved writing skills—choosing better words with AI, using digital tools (editing pictures, arranging stories). Now I know how to use AI for better writing. The workshop taught me to use AI, collaborate, and improve step - by - step. I learned planning, using new tools, and gaining confidence. Suggestion: More time to practice AI tools together.
