The Tortoise and the Hare

On a sunny day, a race was held in the forest. All the animals came, including the proud hare and the slow tortoise.

"This race is simple," said the referee. "Whoever reaches the big tree first wins."

The hare stood confidently at the starting line, mocking the tortoise. "Are you sure you want to join?" the hare asked. "You're so slow, how can you possibly beat me?"

The tortoise nodded calmly and replied, "I'll do my best."

The race began. The hare dashed off quickly, disappearing into the woods. The tortoise moved slowly, step by step.

After running for a while, the hare looked back and saw no sign of the tortoise. He couldn't help but laugh and decided to take a nap under a tree. So he lay down and closed his eyes for a quick rest.

The tortoise continued moving slowly without stopping. It knew it was slow but believed that persistence would eventually lead to victory.

When the hare woke up, the sun was setting. He jumped up and found himself the loser! The tortoise was already waiting at the finish line.

"How did you win?" the hare exclaimed in surprise.

The tortoise smiled and replied, "I just kept going without giving up."
