Thanks for coming to my presentation. My name is Bob Sun. I am Software Integration Engineer of Nagravision Company. I am going to talk about my company.
When I was your age in high school, I was very tired of presentations like this. Because most of the speakers persuaded us to study harder and eventually contribute to our country in the future. They are so boring to us. We had to have a nap to kill that time. Therefore, I understand very well your feelings now. So, today, Hopefully my presentation won't let you are boring to. OK, let me talk about my company. First, I’ll give you some basic information. After that, I will explain what our business is. Finally, I will mention our future plans. And I will please to answer any questions at the end of my talk.
Let me start with some basic information. The company Nagravision started in 1991. We are a family-owned business. And our head office is in Switzerland. We are the worldwide leader in delivering secure,end-to-end digital media technologies that service providers can rapidly deploy to generate and protect revenues. In another word, we sell our security services and solutions to the content providers.
Now, you may be confused from the vague information above. Let me explain what we do exactly. First, we help the content providers to make money. Second, we prevent piracy of digital media content and copyright. For example, you can imagine that your family are together sitting around the television and watching the interesting program that you have already bought. You are happy. And there is the other family that cannot watch the same program because they did not buy the program. They are so sad. But at this moment, there is a hacker who is attacking your television system. And he steals the rights you have bought and give them to the unpaid family. Now the unpaid family can watch the same program as you without paid anything. How unfair for you! That’s unfair to those who have already bought the program. It’s also unfair to those who sell their digital media for making their living. However,Nagra can solve these problems. We can protect your television system to avoid hack’s attack like the Great Wall. Now it’s a peaceful world again. Also, to friendly, you can invite the unpaid family to your home to watch the program.They will appreciate.
Finally, a few words about our future plan. We are planning to extend our market in Asia, especially in China. We have built Sale department, R&D and Integration Center in Beijing. If you are interested in our business and want to have a wonderful career, we welcome you with open arms.
