A Memorable May Day at West Lake

This May Day, I embarked on an exciting journey to West Lake with my elder brother and sister. We adopted the trendy (traveling like a special forces soldier) style, packing a lot into our day.

Our first stop was the renowned Broken Bridge. The bridge, with its unique charm, was bustling with tourists. We took numerous photos, capturing the beauty of the bridge against the backdrop of the lake. The view was so picturesque that it felt like stepping into a traditional Chinese painting.

Next, we made our way to the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon. We boarded a boat, and as we glided across the tranquil waters, I marveled at the three small pagodas standing elegantly in the middle of the lake. The sight was truly enchanting.

Then, we visited the Huagang Park and Su Causeway. The park was filled with colorful flowers and lively fish in the ponds. The Su Causeway, lined with willow trees, offered a serene and peaceful atmosphere.

However, amidst all the fun, the most dramatic moment occurred when I accidentally dropped my brother's brand-new Bluetooth earbud into the lake while on the boat. I was devastated. For the rest of the day, I was distracted, constantly thinking about the lost earbud.

As the sun began to set, we joined the bustling crowd heading back. Despite the earbud incident, our visit to West Lake was an unforgettable experience. It was a day filled with beautiful scenery, cultural exploration, and a touch of drama. I will always cherish the memories of this special May Day at West Lake.
