samsung n143 brightness on linux mint

　　sudo vi /etc/default/grub

  • Find the line which says GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""
  • enter acpi_backlight=vendor between the quotes ("")
  • sudo update-grub
  • reboot your laptop
