web.xml error-page 不起作用解决方案

今天遇到一个问题（应该是个老问题，但网上答案各异），记录下来
在web.xml中配置错误页面跳转如下：
<error-page>
<exception-type>java.lang.Exception</exception-type>
<location>/err/error.jsp</location>
</error-page>
或者
<error-page>
<error-code>500</error-code>
<location>/err/error.jsp</location>
</error-page>
制造空指针异常，启动tomcat服务器发现并不能跳转到error.jsp,而是跳转到IE的错误提示页面
解决方案：
1.在IE【工具】->【Internet选项】->【高级】中勾掉【显示友好http错误提示】；
2.确保error.jsp的大小>1024字节。

这个从根本上没有解决，只是找到了表面的问题。我们尝试在apache配置里配置或者nginx的配置里配置错误页面

nginx中的配置如下：

.创建自己的404.html页面

2.更改nginx.conf在http定义区域加入：

fastcgi_intercept_errors on;

3.更改nginx.conf在server 区域加入：

error_page 404 = /404.html

4.测试nginx.conf正确性：

/opt/nginx/sbin/nginx –t

如果正确应该显示如下信息：

the configuration file /opt/nginx/conf/nginx.conf syntax is ok
configuration file /opt/nginx/conf/nginx.conf test is successful

5.重启nginx

1. kill -HUP  `cat /opt/nginx/nginx.pid `
