How to use ActiveSync Remote Display on Windows Embedded CE 6

We cannot use  ActiveSync Remote Display on Windows Embedded CE 6 straight forward. Some trick thing need to be handle. Please see the following sequence.

 

1. Install the Windows Mobile Developer Power Toys to hard drive.

2. Deploy two files cerdisp2.exe & KillProc.exe under ActiveSync_Remote_Display\devices\wce400\armv4 folder to \Windows folder on Windows Embedded CE 6 device.

3. Run the application ASRDisp.exe on PC.

4. Click OK to close the error prompt "The OS or CPU of this device is unknown to this application"

5. Enjoy it.
