The Secret

Jiang Yuqing's family restaurant, "Zhen Wei Xuan," relied on their secret sauce recipe—a treasure her boyfriend Chen Mingchuan had long desired.
On her birthday, he stole the recipe and sold it to their rival restaurant, "Xian Shan Fang." Heartbroken, Yuqing watched as her grandfather fell ill. Before dying, he whispered, "The real secret... isn't written down. It's in your heart."
Three months later, at a food festival, Mingchuan proudly judged dishes as a critic. When Yuqing served him glazed braised pork, she smiled. "A new recipe, just for you."
The moment he ate it, his face turned red—his mouth burned, his stomach twisted. She had loaded the sauce with chili extract and laxatives.
"You stole the recipe," she said coldly as he ran away in shame, "but you missed one ingredient—heart."
The next day, "Xian Shan Fang" closed, while "Zhen Wei Xuan" thrived. No one could copy the sauce—because the real secret was never just the recipe, but the soul behind it.
