【Coffee】Nodejs and CoffeeScript installation in windows

    The CoffeeScript compiler is itself written in CoffeeScript, using the Jison parser generator. The command-line version of coffee is available as a Node.js utility.

1. Install Nodejs

    The most easy way is to download the msi filre fromhttp://nodejs.org/ . If you don't know how to install msi file ,you can read my another blog http://www.cnblogs.com/younglaker/archive/2013/05/29/3106377.html

    Of cause there are another compelecated way to copmile the source code. But i don't like to . The simplest, the best.

    You can use "node -v" and "npm -v" to check whether it is installed correctlty (npm is the the Node Package Manager).

2. Install CoffeeScript with npm

npm install -g coffee-script

    (Leave off the -g if you don't wish to install globally.)

  or

    If you'd prefer to install the latest master version of CoffeeScript, you can clone the CoffeeScript source repository from GitHub, or download the source directly. To install the lastest master CoffeeScript compiler with npm:

npm install -g http://github.com/jashkenas/coffee-script/tarball/master

    Cheked by "coffee -v".

3. Add environment path.

NODE_PATH : C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\npm\node_modules

4. Test

    Open cmd,paste

square = (x) -> x * x cube = (x) -> square(x) * x

    It will output this:

square = function(x) { return x * x; }; cube = function(x) { return square(x) * x; };

    That's fine.
