MSDN Docs on TFS updated - TFS and HTTPS finally documented

Readers of this blog know that HTTPS support for TFS was not well documented feature to say the least. Actually, it wasn’t documented at all – since January there was only an empty placeholder. That is the reason why “Configuring SSL Support for VSTS” was the most downloaded document on this site.

The things have changed though – a few days ago Susan from VS Team System Education blog informed us that the there is new content on the msdn including (but not limited to) new content on customizing process templates, configuring Team Foundation Server to work with HTTPS and SSL, and improved and expanded troubleshooting topics.
At last, I would add. :-)

Visual Studio Team System
Securing Team Foundation Server with HTTPS and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)

You can configure your Team Foundation Server to use HTTPS and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Using HTTPS and SSL encrypts the network traffic between Team Foundation Server and the Team Foundation clients that request access to Team Foundation Server's Web resources, including team project portals, reports, and work items. You can allow both HTTP and HTTPS with SSL traffic with Team Foundation Server, or you can require Team Foundation Server users to use HTTPS with SSL.
