Dion Hinchcliffe really a Web 2.0 expert that summarized “10 Ways to Take Advantage of Web 2.0“. And no surprise to us, feed enabled site is the fifth most important requirement to harness the power of Web 2.0 revolution: 5. Make Your Sure Your Site Offers Its Content as Feeds and/or Web services. This might seem obvious to some but you’d be surprised. The Web is increasingly becoming about pure data instead of web pages in HTML. Not sure about this? Think about the Google home page. There is virtually no presentation and the primary service it provides is simple lists of search results, or pure data. Not presentation. You don’t go to Google for the looks. Yet Google search is probably the most widespread application in use today (I use it dozens, and often hundreds, of times a day.) Not only that, but just about everything will be an RSS feed in the near future. You may not know what RSS or a feed is yet but chances are you are using them all the time already, though probably through another Web site which is using RSS underneath. Furthermore, users on the Web, particularly the early adopters and influential users, are using browsers less and less, and information aggregators like RSS feed readers more and more. Advice: Make sure your web site offers its content up as feeds or Web services. If you don’t offer, you will be an island unto yourself that people have no choice but to route around in favor of those that do.—-[via 10 Ways to Take Advantage of Web 2.0] tags:No TagsNo Tags
http://brucewang.net/2007/01/27/32
Anothr.com is RSS application service, it is right. In fact, we hope you forget RSS, put RSS aside, so you don’t need type RSS+ Feed URL to the chat window with Anothr.com to subscribe RSS feed; you can type or post Feed URL directly, subscribe the feed, it is extremely simple, we call it “Express Subscription”, you can copy the Feed URL to chat window with “Anothr.com” to get it!
For example, you know TechCrunch’s feed URL: http://feeds.feedburner.com/TechCrunch, so you can post it directly to the chat window with Anothr.com, and get the subscription of TechCrunch.
It’s simple! This is our philosophy!
哎...最近工作比较郁闷,,需要新突破!!!!!!!!!奋
Pandora just released a new cool voice blog, or podcasting program to foster more vivid music experience not only the songs and music but also the people behind. Like they said on their release page:
We thought it might be interesting for folks to learn more about what goes into songwriting. These podcasts are our attempt to give you an inside look at the techniques musicians use to put their signature on the music they write and perform.—[Pandora]
This is really a leapfrog that make the world well connected. It's real web 2.0 and beyond. The singer and composers or bands are vivid individuals, but they are only one-direction connection to their fans and listeners. With such a program, the music world can be nearly fully bi-directional connected.
Of course, you can use Anothr.com service to subscribe to this fantastic program to give you a whole new experience of Pandora enjoying. http://blog.anothr.com/?p=159
